Sugar Hill Annual Town Meeting approves $1.8M budget, merges town offices

NH SUGAR HILL — Sugar Hill approved a $1,817,645 operating budget and voted to merge the offices of Town Clerk and Tax Collector into a single three-year elected position effective at the next annual meeting. Voters elected Rusty Talbot to a three-year Selectman term and re-elected Lissa Boissonneault to both roles for one year pending the consolidation. The budget carries a $4.49-per-thousand tax impact.
The town also approved approximately $584,000 in additional capital reserve and equipment funding, including $50,000 each for Highway and Fire heavy equipment reserves, $211,052 from fund balance for highway bridge work, $21,000 for cemetery road maintenance, and $14,005 for a second-year truck lease.
