Select Board Refers Chief's Reimbursement Request to Legal Counsel
misc · Meeting of January 26, 2026
NH SUGAR HILL — Sugar Hill Select Board refers Police Chief Clark's $21,050 reimbursement claim to legal counsel. Chief Clark requested $2,600 per year for eight years of work on the July 2017 storm, with questions about the legality of payment for wages from that far back and FEMA reimbursement eligibility uncertain. If the claim is not included on the town warrant, Chief Clark indicated he will pursue a petition warrant article.
The board also approved a building permit for barn renovations and reviewed updates on ongoing road and bridge projects.
