NH SUGAR HILL — Sugar Hill Selectboard delays start on Coffin Pond dam project, citing Fish and Game administrative delays. Selectman Chris Ellms, who has been coordinating with the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department, informed the board that the project will not move to the Governor and Council agenda in October due to pending contract work and property assessments. Without the dam, a fire hydrant serving multiple communities will remain out of service.
The board separately endorsed the Bike the North Country trail project, which has secured $624,000 in federal funding with a $500,000 in-kind match, targeting spring 2027 construction to connect three regional schools.
